Deployment Models

Cloud or On-Prem. Your Infrastructure Strategy Should Be Your Choice.

Modern broadband software is increasingly delivered as cloud-only. GLDS takes a different approach.

BroadHub® and the GLDS ecosystem are designed to support both cloud and on-premises deployment, giving broadband providers the flexibility to choose the operating model that fits their organization, infrastructure, security requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

That choice matters.

Some providers want to minimize infrastructure ownership and rely on a hosted environment. Others have invested heavily in their own data centers, IT teams, security architecture, backup strategies, and operational controls. For those organizations, moving critical BSS/OSS infrastructure to the cloud simply because a software vendor requires it may not make operational or financial sense.

GLDS does not believe modernization should require surrendering that choice.

Cloud When It Makes Sense

A cloud deployment can reduce the infrastructure broadband providers need to purchase, maintain, monitor, and refresh internally. It can simplify deployment, support distributed teams, and allow providers to focus more of their technical resources on the broadband network and customer experience rather than application infrastructure.

For providers that prefer that model, GLDS can deliver the BroadHub environment through cloud-based infrastructure while preserving the integrated billing, provisioning, customer management, communications, and operational workflows that define the platform.

On-Premises When Control Matters

GLDS also continues to support on-premises deployment, an increasingly uncommon option in the broadband BSS/OSS market.

For providers with established IT infrastructure or specific operational requirements, on-prem deployment can provide greater control over where systems operate, how infrastructure is managed, and how the application environment fits within existing technology and security standards.

The important point is not that one model is inherently better.

The important point is that the provider gets to decide.

Modern Software Without a Forced Infrastructure Strategy

Deployment flexibility is part of the broader GLDS philosophy.

BroadHub NEXT, for example, modernizes the BroadHub user experience with browser-based access while building on the proven operational foundation of BroadHub. Modernization does not have to mean abandoning established workflows, rebuilding integrations, or accepting a completely different infrastructure strategy.

The same principle applies across the GLDS ecosystem.

Providers should be able to adopt new capabilities, automation, integrations, and AI while maintaining appropriate control over the systems supporting their business.

GLDS gives broadband providers a modern, integrated operating platform without forcing every organization into the same deployment model. Cloud or on-premises, the goal remains the same: proven broadband operations built around the way you choose to run your business.
