Field Management
Connect Scheduling, Dispatch, Technicians, and Work Back to the Customer Record
Broadband operations eventually leave the office.
Installations, repairs, equipment changes, service calls, and customer appointments all depend on getting the right technician to the right place with the right information and equipment.
GLDS Field Management extends the BroadHub ecosystem into that last operational mile.
BroadHub remains the system connecting the subscriber, services, equipment, scheduling, and work-order activity. BroadHub Tech puts that information in the technician’s hands, while Dispatch Command Center gives operations teams the tools to coordinate field resources and work.
Give Technicians Access to the Same Operational Workflow
BroadHub Tech provides mobile access to assigned work and related customer information.
Technicians can receive jobs, work with subscriber and service information, manage equipment, update work orders, document activity, and return information directly to BroadHub rather than relying on phone calls or duplicate entry.
GLDS supports iOS and Android field tools that allow providers to deliver work to technicians, track technicians in the field, and manage the services and equipment being delivered to subscribers.
One customer deployment shows the value of connecting these workflows. Once GLDS connected customer management, provisioning, and technician operations, subscriber information could be entered once and carried through multiple vendor systems. Technicians could then add equipment and activate service without forcing customer-service personnel to repeatedly enter the same information.
Coordinate the Workforce, Not Just the Schedule
Dispatch Command Center supports automatic work assignments, map-based dispatching, routing, technician location awareness, and reassignment as schedules and priorities change.
Because field operations remain part of the BroadHub ecosystem, activity in the field can also drive other workflows. Work-order status can trigger appointment notifications, technician updates, completion messages, and other subscriber communication.
That is the larger point.
A technician app, routing engine, messaging platform, billing system, and provisioning system can all be purchased separately. The challenge is making them behave like one operation.
GLDS has spent decades doing that work across more than 875 broadband service providers worldwide.
